Backchannelmedia introduces free a media planning tool

Backchannelmedia introduces free a media planning tool

Media planning is about to get a whole lot easier with the launch of DRTVResearch, a free media planning tool from Backchannelmedia, headquartered in Boston.

We believe that theres a greater need for advanced systems to build a bridge between the $70 billion general TV advertising market and the $4 billion DRTV advertising market, said Dan Hassan, who shares co-CEO responsibilities with company founder Michael Kokernak. Backchannelmedia has been a technology company since its inception, and with DRTV Research, weve created a cutting edge tool that will be adopted by a lot of people in the industry. Weve had an overwhelming response from the media planners who have seen it.

DRTV Research culls data from various sources and presents it in a unique, intuitively accessed way so unique, in fact, that Backchannel has just applied for a patent.

Cheap Fares and Direct TV For Everyone!

Cheap Fares and Direct TV For Everyone!

After years of trying to get some gates at O'Hare, JetBlue has finally gotten authorization for 4 daily departures. JetBlue has until the end of January to start flights out of O'Hare and they're not yet sure what they'll be flying to.

The reason JetBlue needed FAA approval is because of the cap put on flights out of O'Hare. They'd originally requested 8 flights/day but halved it last week and was approved. This is a big win for JetBlue... but not so much for United and American. Luckily, JetBlue doesnt have Southwest to compete with at O'Hare, as Southwest only flies out of Midway.

Where do you want JetBlue to provide service to? Since they already have a strong presence at NY's JFK Airport, we're thinking it's a no brainer. Where else? Vegas? Boston?
